Background and history
As of beginning of February 2013 Espérance Daycare officially openend it’s doors and is operating with the support of Hope-4-Kids. The Daycare is managed by Rachel Etaka. The idea was to help the underprivileged children of westlake. Children are taught according to the aims and objectives of the organisation. They recieve food in accordance with a balanced diet. It was established with no financial muscle and it generates money from the fees paid by the parents. Because we can only take 6 children until registered it has been unsustainable to date.
Espérance Daycare has only one teacher and one volunteer involved. The Daycare communicates with the community through parent / word of mouth. Espérance Daycare is not registered yet, we don’t own the land but we are renting.
It is our mission for each child to know that they are loved by God.
The mission of Espérance Daycare is to provide a loving, supportive, safe and high quality early childhood care for the underprivileged children of Westlake and surroundings. We provide a home like environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. The Espérance staff is committed to the families we serve, providing support and encouragement.
We believe that ALL families deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, valuing their individual beliefs and ideals. ALL families will be offered outstanding early learning and childcare programmes that promote understanding and respect for others and support and involve parents in their child’s early learning experiences. Our aim is to support families by enabling parents to work, without placing a financial burden on them. Each child is a special individual and every aspect of his/her development is equally important. Our aim is to foster each child’s unique growth and development potential. ALL children will participate in a rewarding early learning experience that will serve as the foundation for success in continued lifelong learning. To be a safe, welcoming experience that leaves parents at ease and children excited to be in childcare.
